Lucknow Super Giants’ owner, Sanjiv Goenka, reacted to his team’s defeat at the hands of Punjab Kings in Dharamsala. The visiting team fell short by 37 runs in the chase to the target of 237. LSG have bleak chances of making it to the playoffs while PBKS are at the second spot.
Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) failed to return to winning ways and suffered their sixth defeat of the IPL 2025 season to finish the day as the 7th-placed team. The Rishabh Pant-led side has only managed 5 wins from 11 matches. LSG only have 10 points in their account at an NRR of -0.469.
Their latest defeat came against Punjab Kings (PBKS) at Dharamsala on Sunday (May 4). The visitors fell short by 37 runs in the chase to the big target of 237. LSG owner, Sanjiv Goenka, was present at the venue to support his team. But it wasn’t a memorable day for LSG.
An hour after the end of the game, Sanjiv reacted to LSG’s defeat with a post on X. He applauded the efforts of Ayush Badoni, Akash Singh and Abdul Samad in his post.
